Assigning Time for Multiple Projects to a Single Invoice

If you assign time for multiple projects and bill multiple lines to a single invoice, then this report will combine the write-on(off) data under the invoice header only.

In the below example, multiple projects have been billed in the same invoice, however, the report combines both projects’ data under the project code in the invoice header only.

Assigned WIP

The Assigned WIP is the total of all time and disbursement lines that have been assigned to the selected invoice for that particular project.

Below is an example of the assigned time and disbursements for the invoice number 60001 wherein multiple projects have been billed in the same invoice.

See more in Assigned Time and Disbursements Report.

Invoiced Amount

The Invoiced Amount is the total fee value invoiced to the client.

Write-on(off)

The Write-on(off) is the total amount written on or written off for the project invoice/s in the selected date range. Sometimes called margin or overrun, the Write-on(off) is calculated from the Invoiced Amount less the Assigned Time & Disbursements.

Invoiced Amount – Assigned WIP = Write-on(off)

Write-on(off)%

The Write-on(off) percentage displays the figure above as a percentage of the assigned time & disbursements.

The Write-on(off) percentage is calculated as the total Write-on(off) divided by the Assigned WIP.

(Write-on(off) / Assigned WIP ) x 100 = Write-on(off) %
