Invoice Line Categories can be used to manually assign Xero tracking categories to individual invoice lines where Abtrac cannot determine the required accounting classification from existing project, task or invoice information. Most organisations will not need this feature — existing Abtrac reporting, GL account mapping and automatic Xero tracking mappings should generally be used instead.

Set up Xero Tracking Categories in Abtrac to automatically transfer information such as Invoice Office, Team, Department, Job Manager or Client Owner to Xero when invoices are shared. This is an additional Xero reporting option and may not be necessary if the information you need is already available through Abtrac reporting or GL account code mapping.
