2025 Release 2 – Updates to API settings

This week, we’ve updated the API base URL in Abtrac. From March 15th, access points using the old URL will no longer work.

If you use the Abtrac API you will need to update your settings to the new URL.

What has changed?

We have changed our API base URL to https://api.abtraconline.com/ 

The web end points remain the same.

Your secret key also remains the same.

You will need to update the prefix from:

https://www.abtraconline.com/api/abtraccustomapi

to:

https://api.abtraconline.com/api/abtraccustomapi

Why have we made this change?

This is the first stage in updates to our current API offering.

Further development will include changes to requests, responses and limits. These technical updates will ensure we continue to deliver efficient processing of requests and data retrieval.

I’m a 12D Synergy user – do I need to do anything?

Yes, the team at 12D Synergy can help with this.

From the 12D Synery + Abtrac Connector you’ll need to edit your Abtrac Configuration.

  1. Open the 12d Synergy Administrator
  2. Select Connectors
  3. Choose your Abtrac Connector
  4. Update the Base URL to: https://api.abtraconline.com/api/abtraccustomapi/

I’m not sure if my API set up is correct, can I have some help?

The API connection and the data retrieval are generic and standard for consumer applications such as Power BI, custom built apps etc. We cannot give specific support for any application consuming the data from the Abtrac API.

But you can contact the support team if you are not sure about the effects of this change on your application.
