Abtrac’s Job Status feature helps track the lifecycle of a project/proposal, active, or completed. Custom statuses aid reporting and workflow management, with options to prompt marking jobs as non-current. Best practice is to keep the list simple (under 10 statuses) and use Tasks for more detail. Job status can be updated from the Job Details or Search screens and is used in several key reports and invoicing screens.

The Current Jobs widget provides a quick overview of your active work in Abtrac, showing the total number of current jobs alongside billable jobs, proposal jobs and non-billable jobs. Use these figures to monitor your current workload and see how work is distributed between revenue-generating projects, potential work and internal activities.
