How to Commit and Uncommit Timesheets

Posted on February 4, 2022 by Priya

In Abtrac, users can commit and/or uncommit timesheets depending on their user group privileges.

Ticking the Timesheet Complete box can be used to tell you that someone has completed their timesheet. It can then be committed, after which they might not be able to edit anything on it unless they have the user group privilege to un-commit a timesheet.

From Administration >> Employees >> User Group Management, you can manage who can commit and/or uncommit a timesheet.

Administration >> Employees >> User Group Management

Click on the Manage Privileges button for the relevant user group (Timesheet only in this example). The ‘Manage User Privileges’ box appears.

Tick the Full Access box for Timesheet Commit to ensure that the users in this group can commit their own timesheets. Save the changes.

Additional privileges can be set up by clicking on the ‘Manage System Privileges’ button as below.

Administration >> Employees >> User Group Management

The ‘Manage System Privileges’ box appears.

Leave the ‘Un-Commit Timesheet’ box unticked, which ensures that this user cannot uncommit their timesheet, once committed. Save the changes.
